Elmer the Elephant Craft
If your child is a fan of Elmer the Elephant, you will definitely want to try out of this Elmer activity.
Elmer the Elephant has become a favourite here at home. After reading Elmer by David McKee with the boys, we were inspired to make our own elephants using lots of coloured paper. We thought making an Elmer cutout would be a great for bedtime stories.
To make your own you will need:
- The Four Boys Blue Elmer printout
- Cardboard sheet
- A scissors
- Coloured paper in all colours ( because Elmer is very colourful)
- A glue stick
Instructions:
- Begin by printing out the Elmer printout on Four Boys Blue (you can find it by clicking here!) and glue on to a piece of cardboard. When dry cut Elmer using a scissors.
- Next, you need to cut out square pieces approx 2cm x 2cm in different colours.
- The prep is done and it is time to start having fun with your little one.
- Have them apply the paper glue and place the colourful patches in place. This can be done by toddlers themselves with little help from us.
- Once the cutout is complete you can cut out the extras with the scissor.
